We'vegottenalotoffeedbackinthepastfewweekswithsomegreatideasontweakstoeachofthedifferentsidestomakethegamemoreenjoyabletoplayers.Obviouslyalotoftimehashadtobespentplaytesting(andyes,wegetpaidtodothis,sothere,mom!)thesechangestomakesuretheresulttrulyisamoresatisfactoryexperience.

Oftentimes,whatseemsbalanced(orunbalanced)onpaperdoesnotworkoutquitethatwayon-line.Therearealotoffactorsthatjusthavetobeplayedtobeseen.Moreover,aplayer'sskilllevelalongwithstrategycancompletelyalterone'sperspectiveonbalancingwhichhasbeenbothachallengeandquiteenjoyabletoobserve.

BothStardockandIroncladplaymultiplayergamesprettyregularly(wedon'tusuallyadvertisewhoweare)andit'sreallyquiterefreshingseeingnewstrategiesbeingdevelopedovertimethatweneverwouldhaveconsidered.Thisisoneofthereasonswhyupdatessuchasv1.04willcontinuetobeneeded--asplayerscomeupwithnew,innovativestrategies,wewillhavetocontinuetoupdatethegametoensurethatnosinglestrategybecomestoodominant--thisiswhatyoupayusfor,afterall.
